TWO PNG Kapul players Simon Emmanuel and Yagi Yasasa have arrived safely in Melbourne to join Bendigo City FC in the National Premier League Victoria 2 this season

Player agent and former PNG forward George Slefendorfas said both teams arrived in Melbourne and set to go straight into training with their new club to play their trade in the tough Victoria 2 league.

Part Lithuanian and Papua New Guinea, Slefendorfas played for PNG national soccer team in the early 70’s and he is currently living in Melbourne, Australia.

Slefendorfas runs an player agent called Player Pin Management where they create pathways for young ambitious players who want to further their football career overseas

“I got to know both Emmanuel and Yagi when the PNG National Players was playing and training in Brisbane,”

He said he was very fortunate to play 11 years of semi pro.
“I want to give back and help those who are interested in challenging themselves,” he said.

Beside Australia, he has played in Sweden and New Zealand before retiring.

PNG Football Association is very excited about the news stating that such opportunity would greatly help our PNG players broaden their experience at the international front.
